Changing password criteria, when will users be affected?

Info:

Within UC_CLIENT_SETTINGS you do have the possibility to define client wide password restrictions, either minimum length, specific characters required in password etc..

If you change these criterias, users will not be forced to change their password immediately or within the next login, the criteria will be only valid for them if they change their password the next time, until that time, the users do have the possibility to use their password with the old criterias.

How to solve this:

If you - as an administrator - want to have this criterias set up as quick as possible, you can define on user level that the user has to change the password within the next login. The user will also not be forced to change the password within his session, but at next login.

Good to know:

To avoid that these changes might not affect users at all, you should also set the parameter "PWD_AGE_MAX" to a specific timeframe (e.g. 2 months) so the users are forced to change their password within a period of time.
