Hi.
Could someone with a V12.1 (preferably 12.1 HF3) and a few minutes of spare time possibly try something and let me know if it works or not?
Specificially, a JOBF from any Linux host. Target can be a Linux or Windows host, doesn't matter. Copy a single file (such as /tmp/testfile.txt), but this is important: Check the box that says "Delete Source File".
If it's not yet evident, I get very interresting results on my installation (no worries, it doesn't break anything or such).
Thanks!

Give a shout when/if your job hangs for 5 minutes in "Transfering", then ends ENDED_NOT_OK with a report message saying that the agent has supposedly been stopped. Not that I'd expect that to happen, no Sir, that'd be awfully specific ... ;)
Bad news: there are strange things happening...
And: Congrats, Carsten, you invented a Time machine -- without FluX Compensator !!
AE: 12.1.0+build.1336
Agents involved:
JOBF:
JOBF was hanging in "connecting" state quite long
But finally the file was transferred. Schubiduba...
And the best fact: I did a 2 hours jump into future using Automation Engine instead of Flux Compensator
cheers, Wolfgang
Well, time to share the details then. It appears to break (for me at least) whenever the source is a Linux agent and the "remove source file" box is ticket. strace shows a "operation not permitted" for the unlink call, eventhough the user has permissions to delete the file. And instead of a meaningful error, I get that bit about an agent having been stopped in the report.
Uncheck the "delete source file" box, and everythign runs smoothly.
Incident has been opened, let's see. Sadly, all I get is a boring "ENDED_NOT_OK". I want to timetravel into the future too! *)
Oh, this btw is only the beginning. We've just upgraded our test system to 12.1, and the stories I will be able to tell once I sanitize my notes ... oh my :)
*) can this time travel be used for mining bitcoin? **)
**) is there an AutomicScript function to generate bitcoin hashes, and if not, why?
How am I supposed to blockchain in Automic!? :D :D
just tried the same with V11.2.6 (same ENV) - same result..
same behavior.

sorry, Wolfgang
will give you one of my Timetravel - AEs for just 1.99 Bitcoins ;-)
Well, that's okay. I still win, because then my AE has the most intreresting result :)
a black hole?
can you understand women's thoughts?
can you convert software bugs into gold nuggets?
Do you know why the latest TV sets do not have 3D capability anymore?
Indeed. But that has nothing to do with AE, it's a natural curse. Or a gift. But mostly a curse.
Only if the modulo of the ticket number and 1337 is zero. But if it's also a prime, they turn out to be uranium nuggets instead.
No. Nobody does.
