This issue has been confirmed by Automic and has been identified as an open problem. It is being treated with the problem record PRB00218930.
I wish to thank the Automic support employee very much for the swift handling of this case.
As for product development, I can't help but notice that Automic replicated the issue without receiving a broken object from me (they did get an XML export upon their request, but the XML export has no old versions in it, so it itself can not have been solely used to replicate the matter). This means that Automic must have had, by extension, the possibilty to observe this problem even without my report. I therefore suggest that this issue would have been predisposed for early detection by automated testing or manual QA as part of a software release process.
Best,
Carsten
