Return object-type-specific subclass of UC4Object

In the AE Java APIs, each AE object type has its own subclass of UC4Object. Many of the Java API operations for working with objects are specific to the object type. So I want to write a method that takes a UC4Object as input, and returns an object of the class appropriate to the object type — e.g., the method returns an object of type JobPlan for a workflow, and an object of type Job for an OS job.

I had a bit of code that would do this, but I’ve lost it and I cannot remember the trick at the moment. TIA.
