04/12/2018 07:06:39 AM from J.W. to Everyone: Hello. Is there any way in Service Desk to have the Target Date/Time field for a Service Target to not be emptied after the Actual Date/Time for the target is completed?
04/12/2018 07:09:06 AM from Alexis to Everyone: Good Morning. We are planning to do a swing box migration with the upgrade to 17. Where can we find the documentation for moving/migrating the db in a swingbox upgrade?
04/12/2018 07:09:44 AM from Alexis to Everyone: And any hints or tips that aren't in the doc are welcome too. :)
04/12/2018 07:09:56 AM from Yobany Amaya to Everyone: JW - thanks for your question.. We currenly looking into it.
04/12/2018 07:10:21 AM from Derek (CA) to Everyone: @Alexis there is documentation link for swing box.
04/12/2018 07:10:23 AM from J.W. to Everyone: @Yobany. To be clear, I am speaking about the display on the detail forms.
04/12/2018 07:11:32 AM from Derek (CA) to Everyone: @Alexis here is 17.0 docop site about Swing box https://docops.ca.com/ca-service-management/17-0/en/implementing/implement-ca-service-management-17-0/upgrade-to-ca-service-management-17-0/upgrading-to-ca-service-desk-manager-17-0/migrate-or-upgrade-to-ca-sdm-17-0/use-the-swing-box-method-to-upgrade-migrate-to-ca-sdm-17-0
04/12/2018 07:11:47 AM from J.W. to Everyone: Is there a Domain for JasperSoft against the CASM mdb? Does it ship with 17.1? If not, is it on the Roadmap?
04/12/2018 07:11:56 AM from Alexis to Everyone: @Derek Thank you!!
04/12/2018 07:13:31 AM from Alexis to Everyone: Follow up question on swing box. Any word of wisdom/advice that's not in the doc? Gems from experience?
04/12/2018 07:15:01 AM from J.W. to Everyone: @Alexis. 1. Review your Archive/Purge tasks. Reduce the size of the DB as much as possible before hand. 2. Make sure you can take snapshots of the SWING-BOX and NEW PRODUCTION systems 3. Test, test, test.
04/12/2018 07:15:46 AM from Rajeev Kumar (CA) to Everyone: @JW - An 'operational reporting domain' on top of MDB (SDM Object layer) is on the roadmap - currently planned. Would you be interested in validating the feature?
04/12/2018 07:16:03 AM from J.W. to Everyone: @Alexis. For #2 - actually test the snapshots!
04/12/2018 07:16:28 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: @Alexis - In addition to J.W.'s great responses you might pose the question on the community for additional feedback.
04/12/2018 07:17:15 AM from Alexis to Everyone: @Chris - good idea about posting to the community. we will.
04/12/2018 07:17:17 AM from Derek (CA) to Everyone: @JW Out of box no function would copy Target Date/Time from Actual Date/Time. It may need to customize doing that. May be trigger file or js to do that.
04/12/2018 07:17:34 AM from J.W. to Everyone: @Rajeev. Yes. I will try to work time in my schedule. Do you plan to have an on-line test environemnt or will I need to download th files for my on VM / DEV?
04/12/2018 07:18:53 AM from Rajeev Kumar (CA) to Everyone: @J.W. - It'll be great if you can validate the domains against your data in a local environment.
04/12/2018 07:20:14 AM from J.W. to Everyone: @Rajeev. I think I can arrange that but it will have to be against a 14.1 system as none of the customers have completed a migration 20 17.1 yet.
04/12/2018 07:21:30 AM from Rajeev Kumar (CA) to Everyone: @JW - If you are registered on the validation platform (validate.ca.com) and have signed up for CA Service Management validtaion project, then we will look you up there and send out the next steps. If not, please sign up at validate.ca.com and select CA Service Management.
04/12/2018 07:22:12 AM from J.W. to Everyone: @Rajeev. Thanks, I am. I may need to update my profile.
04/12/2018 07:22:49 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: OK Everyone - We'll wrap up for today but please join us back here in May. Thank you for participating!
04/12/2018 07:23:00 AM from Rajeev Kumar (CA) to Everyone: @JW - cool. Regrading 14.1, let's connect and talk more. We are not certifying 14.1 officially, but can discuss it.
04/12/2018 07:23:21 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone: Thanks again everyone!
04/12/2018 07:23:27 AM from Yobany Amaya to Everyone: @JW - regarding your question agout JS domains - Following the documentation at https://docops.ca.com/ca-service-management/17-0/en/integrating/cabi-jasperreports-server-r6-3-0-for-ca-service-management/configure-cabi-jasperreports-server-r6-3-0-for-ca-service-management will help set up the SDM datasource that will pull data for reporting.
