How should the "High Throughput" type defects be interpreted correctly, in relation to the performance of the application?

The configuration of the defect type is defined by default, throughput> 100

Defining transaction defects - CA Application Performance Management - 10.0 - CA Technologies Documentation

    High ThroughputNoThroughput > 100kB/sMedium (Default)

I pulled this from the old CEM glossary because I can ;-)

Wily CEM transaction throughput is used as a measure of efficiency, especially for
transactions that vary widely in terms of time and size. A higher throughput
    means a more efficient transaction.
Calculation: transaction throughput = transaction size / transaction time
