When the license expires do all registries stop working?  Or do they then check again with the enterprise dashboard if a new license has been installed for the coming year and update this in their own registry DB?

When the license expires, the Enterprise dashboard service stops working and if you manually try to start, it will force close itself automatically.

If you go to the enterprisedashboard.log you will find out the error "license is not valid".

In the {{LISA_HOME}} directory, there is a file called devtestlic.xml. In the XML file there is a tag <validuntil> that tells you the date till which your current license file is active.

I tried changing the date manually and tried running the Enterprise Dashboard service again but CA is clever enough to not let that pass through .

Please read more here :Tech Tip: Check to see when your license key will expire to avoid potential issues

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

Registries will run until the next time they need to be restarted, they it will try to connect to the Enterprise Dashboard and if the Enterprise Dashboard is not running, the Registries will not start.  No license information is stored in any of the databases.
