t is my understanding that a user story cannot 'appear' in two different projects?   Can someone confirm that?

I have a request to allow another team to cull existing stories and port them to a new structure in Rally.

Hi Kathleenq,  A story can only 'belong' to one project but if the user has access to a parent or child project, they can see stories from parent or child projects by using my project scoping.  

So let's say that all stories are created in Parent Project and are culled and assigned to child projects.  That user would need Editor access to Parent and child projects and would place stories into the proper child projects as necessary.  This user's view would show parent project and all child projects stories.
