Hi,
is there any guideline how the ems/nas needs to be set up in a environment where there are Primary hub and HA hub and nas is run in both, syncing alarms both ways. Do we need to do some additional config due to two nas env, is that even supported anymore?
only one note - do not activate nis-bridge in secondary nas as long as primary nas is up running.
Ems doesn't work in a failover scenario which is why we recommend you still use the nas for main alarm processing rather than ems.
NAS is tried and tested in an HA setup with bidirectional replication and script/profile replication.
And, as said by Yu, nis_bridge needs to be enabled on failover if the secondary hub is to be used as a backup for any length of time.
starting with ems probe 10.17 and nas 9.0, you'll see ems alerts routed to NAS_*** tables like nas probe does today, so high availability concern might be minimum compared to previous release of ems (that had local storage and no sync feature)
Hello Teppo, do you have further questions about this thread or is it answered with the update from Yu Ishitani ?
Kind regards,

So, based on this conversation it looks like the "offical" way to do is something like this
- ems needs to be in primary hub, cause it just goes there
- do not actually use ems, cause...
- use nas in primary and in HA hub as you have used to
sorry for confusion. i think you may be ok with
secondary ems should be activated only when primary hub is offline.
secondary nas should always be online and get alarm data in sync (forwarded from primary nas)
OK, ems also to HA hub, and add that to HA probe config to start when primary is offline
