Is there a way to set the MIME-type for the 'Send Email Alert' assertion to HTML type?
If not, is there a way to go around this?

The Email Alert assertion does not have a way to set a MIME type so all messages will be sent out as plain text. I'm not aware of any way to change this behavior so you will need to log an Idea through community to have this functionality added.

The updated 9.4 doesn't include this? Release notes mentioned "The Send Email Assertion has been enhanced to support HTML, embedded hyperlinks, and attachments."

Thank you for your post. An oversight on my part as my go to gateway has been the 9.3 instance. I've just confirmed in the 9.4 Gateway it has been expanded with the items you have listed.
