Symantec Access Management

  • 1.  Control browser cache using CA SSO

We are facing the below issue :

1.We have an application which is protected by CA SSO

2.On clicking sign in the application is redirected to a protected resource and is challenged with a login page.

3.On entering the incorrect credentials the application shows a custom error message

4.From here on Navigating to an unprotected resource and again trying to access any protected resource we are challenged with a login page which still shows the error message that is mentioned on step no.3.

As per our understanding this is a cache issue and any leads on how the cache can be controlled using CA SSO  would be helpful.

You are probably reading the error from SMUSRMSG cookie in your custom login page.

To clear error message, you will need to find a way to delete this cookie.

    Hi Ujwol

Is there any way we can set the smtryno value from cookie to 0 when the user is trying to access the login page after accessing the unprotected page and then coming back to accessing the protected page, getting login form. Thanks.

    Hi Ujwal,

We are using SMTRYNO cookie to display the error message in our custom login page. Is there any way to update the SMTRYNO cookie value to zero or delete the cookie on navigating back to log in page.
