  • 1.  Resource error during IPL

We have been getting the following violation showing up during IPL and would like to get further clarification on why we are getting this. It is not affecting IPL or ACF2 Startup or any current transmissions so far but we are concerned about future ramifications as we will be soon upgrading to z/OS 2.3. See below: RSER-EZBDOMAIN TRC RSER-EZBDOMAIN TCPIP 2000M9EC127 STCINRDR PRDW ACF9CXTR NO-REC - DIRECTRY 18.126 05/06 10.38 TCPIP TCPIP COMM TSKNONSNADEV 0 8 0 0 16 SAF RESOURCE CLASS RESOURCE NAME: EZBDOMAIN. The message only shows up in the ACFRPTRV REPORT not in the IPL LOG. Anyone have any knowledge as to what this is and why it does not appear in the IPL Logs?

The “violation” appears to be from the extract process for the APPLDATA from within ACF9CXTR –
which is the ACF2 extract processor.

Reference your case, it would appear that the logonid TCPIP has the 'trace' attribute -
this record is a trace entry – purely because of trace on the logonid.

Remove TRACE and you will most probably not see any further loggings for this resource.

It does, however, mean that you do not have the security domain name defined.

Review the following link that may explain what the resource call is about.
