Is there an issue while using support automation (SDM version 12.9) and  connecting to Windows 10 Machines on end useers.

Are there any compatibility or known error and resolution for the same?

Please help with your comments /suggestions.

    Regds,

    Ashutosh.

    Ashutosh.....

The following client Operating Systems were certified for use with 12.9:

    Microsoft Windows 8

    Microsoft Windows 7

    Microsoft Windows Vista

    Microsoft Windows XP SP3

In case you were not already aware, CA SDM 12.9 is now end of support.

If you have not already done so, please make plans to upgrade to a supported SDM version (i.e. 17.1).

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks for your reply....

I already checked the compatibility and suggested to go for an upgrade as the version upgrade. However, due to large environment they still are using 12.9 and might take sometime to switch.

As they use Support auto for few important functions they want if there is any workaround for sometime.

It will be a good help if someone already faced this issue and got some fixes.

    Regds,

    Ashutosh.

    Ashutosh....

What specific issue are you facing with using Support Automation 12.9 to connect to Windows 10 client machines?

Connecting to the windows 10 machines takes longer than usual (sometimes terminates without connecting)....also if connected it's very slow...

I can get more details on this...

    Ashutosh,

Are there any difference in the firewall settings on the Windows 10 systems, and what browser is being used? As Paul mentioned, validation testing wasn't performed with Windows 10 and Service Desk 12.9, it's possible some change in Windows 10 changes the way that the exe is treated.
