  • 1.  Does Jaspersoft Studio requires VPN to connect with PPM SaaS?

    Hi. The company is about to implement a CA PPM SaaS, and will require Jaspersoft Studio to design and publish custom reports.

     

    The questions are:

    How can Jaspersoft Studio communicate with CA PPM?

    Does it requiere a VPN?

    Which port?

    Does CA Support provide it on a support ticket?

    What else is needed?

     

     

    I'm asking because we need to inform in advance the tehnical requirements, so the IT Area can evaluate them.

    No VPN required, however you will need to use the CA PPM - packaged version of Jaspersoft Studio, along with the CA JDBC Adapter (Jaspersoft Studio Professional CA JDBC Adapter - CA PPM SaaS - 15.4 - CA Technologies Documentation ). If my experience is typical, you'll also need holes punched in your corporate firewall.

    Do you remember which ports or rules you had to enable in the firewall?

    Honestly can't remember sorry, but this link (JasperSoft  - List of ports ) rings a vague bell.  If you're ondemand, CA Support should be able to help.
