  • 1.  Ubuntu 16 64 bit robot install

Hi, I'm trying to install robot onto a Ubuntu 16 64 bit server. I've downloaded the latest robot_deb package from the archive and copied it onto the Ubuntu box in question. According to the CA-Support doc https://comm.support.ca.com/kb/robot-installation-fails-for-ubuntu16/kb000016814#/ you "2. Copy a native robot nimsoft-robot+debian_amd64.deb for 64bit to /opt directory". Anyone got any ideas how I actually do this?

    Hi,

By default, together with UIM 8.51, robot version is v7.80, which is NOT supported the Ubuntu 16 yet. We should use Robot v7.91 and later. So, we need to copy the native installer media.

But now, from the archive website, we could download the latest v7.93, which is also work for Ubuntu 16.

We could skip this step "2. Copy a native robot nimsoft-robot+debian_amd64.deb for 64bit to /opt directory".

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Sundy.
