  • 1.  CA - Data generation using PostgreSQL

    CA PAM says that there is no support for PostgreSQL - Data generation. I was able to create generation rules and preview data. When published the data to target, got the following error:

    Hi Swathy,

     

    As per the documentation (link given below), PostgreSQL is not a supported Databse for generation. 

     

    Supported Data Sources - CA Test Data Manager - 4.5 - CA Technologies Documentation 

     

    The reason that you were able to make a connection to it and create rules is to do with the fact that 

    "As long as you have a valid driver for any Database, Datamaker can make a connection to it".
