General Availability Announcement for CA PPM 15.4.1 Service Pack

On behalf of CA Technologies, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services.  As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that CA PPM 15.4.1 Service Pack is now available for On Premise and SaaS customers.

New features for CA PPM 15.4.1 Service Pack include:

Roadmapping enhancements:

  • Support for Clipping, which allows users to limit the financials to only the current roadmap horizon, or to “unclip” the roadmap and see the entire spend.  
  • Powerful connections to the underlying project data with the ability to import projects. Includes flexible options to sync projects with a roadmap by scenario; Link roadmap items to an underlying project; Drill down and return capability provides quick access from the roadmap to the underlying project data. 
  • Users can now compare scenarios side by side in the Timeline view. Compare the current scenario to the baseline for example, and see any financial, capacity or date differences, as well as the different mixes of investments. 
  • The first step in constraint-based planning provides the ability to easily define targets and plan based on available funding, capacity or goals to achieve desired benefits. 

In response to customer demand, time management just got better: 

  • OBS filtering in time approval as well as enter time for other.
  • An “Open for Time” filter that simplifies finding the right tasks for a team member.
  • An option to allow entering a total for the week and having the time spread across all days.
  • Timesheet notification link that allows drill back to the modern UX timesheet.
  • A “Time Attestation” capability for time submission. 

Project Management enhancements:

  • Adding a % Complete Visual for use on project tiles.
  • A new Cross Project Tasks grid with powerful filtering and saving views capabilities.
  • A new Staffing module in projects, which allows PM’s to allocate people or roles in the context of their projects.

Business intelligence improvements:

  • Updating all reports to adapt the new JasperSoft® relative date input filter.
  • Performance improvements to the Data Warehouse ETL job.
  • A procedure to clear Trending data from the data warehouse.
