  • 1.  Role/Permission Needed for Checking Audit History

    Posted Jun 13, 2018 08:30 AM

    Hi,

Some application teams in our organization wish to audit changes in deployment plans etc. I recommended them to use Audit History Report from Dashboard. But since I am superuser, I can see all details. But for application teams, what roles/permissions are needed to check the same? My recommendation didn't work for them. I have given them all 3 "Can View...." permissions, Release Template Designer and Deployment Plan Designer permissions. Ours is RA 6.4.0.10011.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,

    Sorry for delayed response.

I believe Audit History Report in Dashboard is required Superuser Role.

    Verified with following steps.

    1. Login superuser account.
    2. Created a user as Admin User with full permissions.
    3. Assigned permissions for an application to the user.
    4. Login using the user, and then there is no records in Audit History Report.
    5. Login superuser account.
    6. Changed Role to Superuser.
    7. I could see all permission checked.
    8. Re-login using the user, and then Audit records are shown.

You can export these records with CSV or PDF format. If you don't want to assign superuser role to application team, please share exported documents.

    Regards

    Yas

    Hello Abhishek,

Thanks for marking answer. May we request if you can raise an idea around this. As I think the requirement you have is a valid use case where you want an application admin (not superuser) should be able to see the audit report for specific applications.

    Regards,
