  • 1.  automatic connection between manager and agent in WA DE

    Hi.

    After restarting or rebooting the Workload Automation DE Manager Service (or system),
    In the Workload Automation Desktop Client , the agent status changes to Inactive even though the agent process is still alive. (Server -> Topology -> Agents/Advanced Integration - Server Inactive)

    In this case, restarting the agent service will change it to Active in the Workload Automation Desktop CLient.


    Is there a way to automatically connect (Active) to Manager without restarting the agent service after restarting the DE Manager Service?

    What parameters need to be changed for this?

    Hi,

    The CA WA DE will try to connect / ping the agent every few minutes.  If the agent goes inactive, then you will need to check the agent side logs.  Check transmitter log to see if the agent is getting any errors when it tries to talk to manager (DE).  There may be issues with the network or port, make sure they are open.
