Password with no target device, is it possible?

    Hi all,

     

       is there the chance to use CA PAM only as a password store and generator without associating a password to any actual device?

    Hello Ivan,

     

    You can use a dummy device - it does not need to exist in the network.

    The application you associate with the device can be of type Generic, i.e. target accounts passwords linked to this are just stored in PAM.
