Hi 

I'm planning to move few of child projects to TWO levels up.  I have the following approaches:

1) First to move all the child stories of the Project to the Parent level and then to close the child project.

2) is there anyway that I can move directly by changing the Parent (Instead of a child, want to move this to Parent level) by changing the Parent so that all the US# have be attached to the respective parent?

Honestly, if I understand what you're trying to do, I would just do #2 ... move the project up two levels (by changing the Parent) and not even mess with the work items assigned to the project. Those work items will move with the project.
