  • 1.  Dynamic lookup for Primary Role/Resoruce Skills

    I have a requirement to show only a subset of skills for a primary role in the Skills tab within a resource record that are relevant to the primary role, for example, if a resource have a Primary Role of Project Manager, when s/he navigate to the Skills tab, only the skills that are relevant to a project manager will display. 

     

    Does anyone have try this or know of a way to achieve this?

    The challenge is that the page where it is is not user configurable and the lookup for skills is system restricted.

    Sort of a work around is to create a parent skill Project Manager with the desired child skills  The down side in addition to being a two step operations is that the skills are a simple hierarchy ie a child skill can have only one parent skill which means also that child skills with the same name under different parents are different skills.
