    Hi All

We had set historic data retention period as 365 days.We do not want to increase the data retention period as it will affect the database server performance.

We are planning to move the data to another database server once post this 365 days(before the data gets deleted from the database after the historic data retention period)

can we achieve this? should we consider only historic tables(HN tables)

    Please give your thoughts.

    Regards,
    Usha

    Usha,

It is not so simple. Every day all data that is now 365 days old on that day is removed. It is an ongoing process that takes place every day.

    Hi David,

    Thanks for the update,

In UIM even the historical tables(archived data) also in the same database.

Is there any script using which we can move the old data (or )archived data to another database and use it if needed.

For example if my data retention period is 2 years, can we move the data which is greater than 1 year into another database?

    Regards,

    Usha

    Hi,

    I don't think it is possible out-of-the-box.
