I am working on CA APM MOM High Availability failover in our CA APM version 10.2 environment. We have D2 Primary and D1 Secondary. We do have some security restrictions which does not allow us to mount D2 (Primary) file system /opt/CA/Introscope10.2 to D1 (Secondary) /opt/CA/Introscope10.2 in UNIX system. Is there any other solution which can able to failover works.
Hi Akeel,
If you install APM EM on the 2 servers, then it is only some of EM_HOME sub-directories files that need to be shared across the 2 EM instances. From a security perspective that sharing will still need to be allowed to provide failover functionality.
This KB article covers what needs to be shared (it focuses on the Windows platform but the same principles would apply for Unix/Linux): What are the steps to implement failover and High - CA Knowledge
Hope that helps.
Regards,
Lynn
