Recovery was performed on physical PAM appliance, but it seems not restored to lastest backup version.

So changed boot sequence to secondary SSD. And it is able boot up.

But after change boot sequence back to primary SSD, PAM is not able to boot up anymore.

It seems PAM is not able to load grub with error 22(guess has something to do with partition).

Suggest connect to console and perform recovery again.

But it seems cannot get to grub, instead get into BIOS.

Is primary SSD corrupted? How can we recover from this situation?

    Hello Jerry,

"GRUB loading…” is indicating that the BIOS found the boot loader and started executing it.

However obviously the boot loader itself is having problems finding the root file system, thus failing to boot the system

You can try to enter the GRUB command interface to see if you can access the file system at all.

(press ESC at the boot prompt, then c)

From what I see however you do not get to this point.

If you do get in try e.g. to run these commands

    cat /boot/grub/device.map

    cat /boot/grub/menu.lst

    root           (hd0,1)

    kernel         /vmlinuz ro console=ttyS0,115200n1 acpi=force fips=1 rdinit=init-sda2-sda1 fsck.mode=auto fsck.repair=no

    initrd         /initrd.gz

    boot

which should allow to boot into PAM.

If you switched SSDs boot order you may try setting root to (hd1,1)

If you do not get into the GRUB command interface or if you do not get further anyway I suggest to open a new case with our hardware vendor MBX by sending them an eMail (support@mbx.com) explaining the issue and await their feedback how to further pursue.

    Best Regards,

    Andreas
