Can CAPM integration be configured to shared or VIP (virtual IP address) ip address which connect to multiple OneClick servers?

    Hi Leo,

I don't believe this will work.

When CAPC is integrated with Spectrum, we do so with a specific Spectrum One Click web server as the Data Source for CAPC to speak with.

All of the integration data is stored in a MySql DB on the Spectrum One Click web server.

For example if in the middle of the day we are suddenly sent to another system, different than the one configured as the Data Source, both systems will end up with partial information in the databases and they'll be out of sync.

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Leo,

I agree with Mike.  The integration between CAPC and Spectrum (OneClick) is a 1 to 1 relationship and as Mike pointed out, there is configuration information within the OneClick system.  If you start playing musical OneClick's like what a load balancer would do you would have a problem.

What would happen if the load balancer sent 1/2 of a CAPC sync request to OneClick #1 and the other half of the sync to OneClick #2?

You could be tricky on the load balancer (depending on its capability) and put in a sticky rule for the link from Spectrum to CA PC. However, this is really playing with fire... and one would then question the reason for using a load balancer in the first place...
