Hi All,

I over to install a new oneclick server and I can't login it.

I tryed to use the install users, or default user spectrum/spectrum, but all attempts was failed.

I have other oneclick (old one) that I can do a logon without problem, only the new one is giving error.

How can I solve it?

Have you started the SpectroServer ? Without it, you won't be able to login.

Yes, the spectrum server is up.

Did you add the ip address or hostname to the $SPECROOT/.hostrc file on the MLS system?

Ensure the new OC is configured to point to the MLS system. This can be checked by looking at the locServerName parameter in the $SPECROOT/tomcat/webapps/spectrum/META-INF/contect.xml file.

Ensure there are no issues with hostname resolution between the MLS and OC systems

Ensure there are no network issues between the MLS and OC systems especially firewalls

Ensure the adminUserName parameter in the $SPECROOT/tomcat/webapps/spectrum/META-INF/contect.xml file is a valid Spectrum User model in the MLS database.

Everything is ok but the issue continue. =/

Run "netstat -an | grep 1400" on the OC system. You should see connections from the OC system to the MLS on ports 14002 (SS), 14003 (ARCHMGR) and 14004 (Location Server). You should also see a connection on port 14001 (OneClick) to the MLS.

if you do not see these and the OC and MLS are up and running, then something may be blocking them.

I would suggest to check local firewall, as Joe mentioned previously. It can happen where a new install config for OC looks good but local ip tables or local firewall installed on the OC machine is blocking access.

On the new OC server I see the 4 connections established for "tcp6", not "tcp". Does it matter ?

Just check if the orb_args parameter value in SS/.vnmrc is correct and not truncated.

It should look something like this

orb_args= -Dvbroker.se.iiop_tp.scm.iiop_tp.dispatcher.threadStackSize=1048576 -Dvbroker.se.iiop_tp.scm.iiop_tp.listener.port=14002 -ORBpropStorage ../.corbarc

SS/.vnmrc  exists only on the Spectroserver, which is running fine since a long time with a local OC server.

The only parameter I don't see is "-ORBpropStorage" . What is it used for ?

Check the time difference between the two Servers Spectrum MLS and OC. Some seconds difference is ok, but not minutes.

I would suggest running the $SPECROOT>./bin/support/getspectruminfo.sh script on the OC server and the MLS and opening a case.
