    Hi

We’re querying the ODBC connection on Risk Authentication using SQL Reporting Services. We got this very strange error:

Please advise if we are allowed to do so?

    Regards

SQL Server Reporting Services is a completely different solution that customers use for creating, publishing, and managing reports, then delivering them to the right users in different ways. It requires a license from datadirect.

Would recommend you to use SQL Management Studio to get the db output from Risk Auth DB.

    Thanks renar01,

Are you saying we cannot connect to the CA Riskminder Oracle DB with SQL Reporting services WITHOUT a datadirect licence? And should import the data into Microsoft SQL ?

    Hi Francois,

Yes, Webfort, Riskfort and UDS are having license to use Data Direct.

You can SQL Management Studio and connect to your database and query the database to get the data.

    Thanks,
    Sharan

The DSN you are using for the connection has been configured using the "Arcot DataDirect SQL Server Wire Protocol" driver.  You would need to use a DSN which was configured with the "SQL Server" driver to establish a connection with SQL Reporting Services.
