  • 1.  Global Fragment Migration

    Hi Folks,

There is new use case where I have to migrate Global fragment from one environment to other. As per GMU Documentation, Global fragment will not be part of bundle when you migrateout.

So is there any ways to migrate these Global Fragment ??

Note : Don't have access to prod or other higher environment.

    Regards,

    Grajesh Chandra

    Dear chagr04 ,

On policy manager, you can always export/import policies.

You can also have 2 policy managers connecting to 2 env, and just copy and paste between 2 env.

The above are good enough if you only need to migrate few polices. (you can only have few global policies)

    Regards,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for the suggestion as this is known solution but i have already mentioned that i don't have access to higher environment i.e production via policy manager thats why looking for option through GMU.

if any other way out is there then do let me know.

export policy to xml file, copy to usb, or whatever portable device, on higher env, copy the xml from device, use policy manager to create global policy and then import the xml file.

for GMU(for normal policies), you also need to copy the bundle file to higher env.
