Hi,

We need to delete all cost/budget plans from the system in order to have new fiscal periods. There is no option to delete budget plans from GUI, only cost plans can be deleted. But, since we have huge number of financial plans, it would be very tough to delete cost plans from GUI.

Can we delete these plans from database?

Technically it can be deleted from database, all you need to do is proper analysis to take the reference tables. What I would do is to get a trace on and delete one cost plan and you should be able to get the query and then you can extrapolate to do for all cost plans.

Keeping that a bit simple, you are getting one option to select all the cost plans, listed in one page, at one go, right? Why don't you use that Check box and click "Delete"? 

And in case you have a really good number of Cost Plans under those projects, then you can select the maximum number of Cost Plans to be visible at one page as a List and then do the needful: 

This is delete per investment and if you need to go for multiple investment then only way is to go by database. 

Yes, that is true!

I think instead of deleting from database, we can simply edit the plans and reduce the finish date such that it allows deleting fiscal periods for that period window.
