  • 1.  Trigger catalog search from another web page

    Hi guys,

     

    We have a Landing page in place and we want to provide a search box that will result in a search in catalog.

     

    Is there a way to pass a search parameter in the catalog url?

    Good Morning Pier-Olivier.

    When you mention search, is it the Catalog(browser) search? For offering or SOG?
    Or do you need the Request Search? simple and/or advanced?
    And do you then need that to be including the login?

    As to my knowledge this has never been done yet.

    Awaiting further response form the community on this subject.

    Good Afternoon Pier-Olivier.

    While researching for you on this, I came across the related case 1156253.

    Which states:
    Engineering indicated that there is no way to do a custom implementation for search.
    However you can get the search results from the Catalog with the help of guinodes.
    Request Related Search -icguinode.jsonprequestsearch
    Offering/SOG/SO related search icguinode.catalogsearch
