CA Client Automation

  • 1.  Mac OS X support

    We need to manage MacOS systems with CA Client Automation.

    The compatibility matrix states that only Mac OS X 10.12 is supported, which is a pretty old version (released on Sept 2016).

     

    Acknowledging that official support is only for that version, we need to know:

    1. If MacOS agent is still under active development

    2. If newer versions of MacOSX are going to be supported in the near future

    3. If the current version of the CA Agent is known to work with newer (not supported) MacOSX versions.

    I have received confirmation from development that they have a project for updating the OSx agent certification, and they are tracking a few known issues.  I've asked about an ETA, but have not received any new information as of yet.

    Hi Sergio,

     

    During testing 10 defects were identified of which 6 have been fixed and 4 remain to be looked at.

     

    I will try and get a time frame, but it depends on the number of new customer defects being raised.
