I have a WI report that contains a variable VR calculated like

1 - (SUM(A) / SUM(B))

This VR variable shows different values if I insert it in two different reports of the same Web Intelligence report.

How could that be?

your explain seems to show the number of A or B have changed or have been updated.

But, it is curious the number of A or B or values in A or B could change so fast (between the two report)

What are A and B ? Does it make sense the number or values in A or B change so fast ?

May be this problem need a support case to avoid any misunderstanding and investigate with the exact SUM...

I'm doing in this order:

1. Run queries

2. The variable is calculated automatically: VR = 1 - (SUM(A) / SUM(B)) = 0,9741 (verified this value manually and it is OK)

3. Insert this variable in a table cell in Rep1 (summary report) and Rep2 (details report); it shows 0,9725 in Rep1 and 0,9741 in Rep2

I've tried to use " 1 - (SUM(A) / SUM(B)) " in the Formula Editor for that cell but the result is the same...

What could be the issue?

Hello,

I've found the issue.

On the "Format Table" the checkbox "Avoid duplicate row aggregation" was un-checked.

After checking it, the values were the same everywhere I used them.
