    Hi CA,

From a week ago our CA UIM 8.51 server continuously increasing  physical memory up to 98%.

Recently we added 20+4=24 GB total RAM it works smoothly for few days now again its shows above 90 %.

From what i can see, when we checked resource monitoring tools maximum memory utilization used by java.exe (snap shots has added) in UIM server.resource monitoring image of UIM server

Hi, What is the probe name which uses high memory consumption ?

In the Infrastructure Manager or Admin Console, you can trace PID for every running probes.

    Thank you very much.

Many of our probes are viewed as java.exe in task manager.

Please resolve name of probe using that PID.

PID for every probes are being displayed in Infrastructure Manager or Admin Console. Thanks, Yu

Add the "command line' column to the display and look at that - one of the arguments to the java.exe is the name of the actual java application being run

In ca_uim server most of the ram utilized by following probe....

    1. wasp

    2. nis_server

    3. mon_config_service

    4. ems

    5. trellis

    6. udm_manager

so,is their any technique to minimize the utilization of ram?

Hi, Thank you very much for response.

Do you have a dedicated UMP server ?

Or did you deploy UMP server on to the same UIM server as well ?

    Best Regards, Yu Ishitani

    Hi, Thank you for response.

There is an option to split the load from having single server (UIM+UMP) to distributed (UIM server + UMP server)

    Hi You have 2 options

    1. Uninstall UMP from primary hub and then run the installer again to deploy to a standalone robot
    2. Configure multiple UMP server as per https://docops.ca.com/ca-unified-infrastructure-management/8-5-1/en/installing-ca-uim/install-unified-management-portal-ump/configure-multiple-ump-servers and then simply stop using the UMP on the primary hub.

    I would recommend option 1.

    Regards

    Rich
