  • 1.  Use Cases for CA PAM Server Control and Threat Analytics

    Hello All,

We are integrating CA PAM with Server Control and Threat Analytics. I was wondering if we have any existing sample use cases to test the integration and functionalities of both SC and TA.

Request your help, if you can point to any documents.

I am not aware of any particular use cases for testing Threat Analytics(TAP) and Server Control.  Configure PAM and TAP as described here:  Integrate with CA Threat Analytics - CA Privileged Access Manager - 3.2 - CA Technologies Documentation.  Once it is set up Threat Analytics will automatically evaluate user activity for risk.  If TAP determines there is a risk it send a risk level to PAM which can dynamically trigger activities, such as starting session recording or prompting the user to reauthenticate.  Use PAM as you normally would.  TAP will use a number of factors to evaluate the risk, including the location of a privileged user, time and duration of activity, the system connections, and user history for security.  Your activity can include any use of Server Control.  Guidance for integrating with CA may be found here:  CA Privileged Access Manager Server Control Login Integration - CA Privileged Access Manager - 3.2 - CA Technologies Doc…
