The imaging technicians have run into an interesting problem with their new image (v 14.0.2). When they try to test RC after imaging on the default local scalability server, they cannot connect and run into the no one is present message. However, once the laptop is deployed and begins reporting to a different scalability server, you can RC normally without any inssues. Is there a configuration issue we need to be looking at? We can RC other laptops made before this new image on the local scalability server without issue.

Can you caf ping from the SS to the agent and caf ping from the agent to the SS.  Is it a local firewall setting or an anti intusion software setting that prevents connects from certain subnets?

Or do you have policies tied to groups based on the SS it reports to.

I can caf ping both ways. Firewall is disabled. Only policy we have for the SS it reports to is based on location awareness. It starts off on CAS11 as that is the local SS but cannot be RC'd.  However, when it changes to another branch's SS, it begins working. Not sure if it would work if it came back to here...

Are there any agents that report to the ss that rc works on?.  Does the ss have rc installed? there is an rc server function that needs to be on the ss

Yes. Most computers including my own work well with it. RC is installed on the SS. Just the recently deployed images. I thought it might be something with the installation/image, but the fact it works after reassigning to another SS perplexes me.

Do new agents all have the same version of agent.

    Hi Joey,

Seems to me that your recently deployed systems aren't getting your domain configuration as fast as desired, so, when your technicians try to connect, default agent configuration is still in place.

You could add this commands to your OS deployment (after agent is installed and environment variables refreshed):

ccnfcmda -cmd SetParameterValue -ps /itrm/rc/host/general -pn requirelocalconfirmation -v 0
ccnfcmda -cmd SetParameterValue -ps /itrm/rc/host/general -pn overrideconfirmatlogin -v 1

This will override local confirmation and confirmation when no one is logged in.

These configurations will be overwritten by your Domain configuration once correctly applied.

    Rgds.
