Hi Everyone

Hoping I get a solution .

I am working on a Custom Task to modify AD Endpoint groups via IDM R12.6.8.

As part of testing , I cloned the default "Modify Active Directory Group" that is used for provisioning

However I cant search for any existing  groups using  "Default Active Directory Group Endpoint Group Search" Search Screen.  I get the error "The Endpoint Type is not selected for this Task"

So thought it wasn't picking up the endpoint, so modified the task so it can be called when searching for end points.

Yet I am still getting the same error

Am I using the wrong task for reference in the activity that I wish to achieve?

Can someone point me to the right direction.

I am not clear on what you did, however why can't you just use the following task that is already provided:

Endpoints->Manage Endpoint Groups->Modify Endpoint Group

Yes that task exist , however it is not user friendly . This people are not aware on the raw names of containers.

so we are creating a custom task to do what it was doing .

We had created a Create AD Endpoint Group task and it is working .

We are just having issues with the modify task , specifically on the search screen .

You may be best with opening a support case so that you can share your IME Role XML and so what you did can be reviewed further. Or you can see if there are others who may be able to assist you further here in the communities.

I already sent a case but no response.

I am now thinking of a way so I can have the  "Endpoint type", "Endpoint" and " Active Directory Endpoint Group" in the search screen of my custom admin task that has the following profile 

Primary Object : Active Directory Group 

Action: Modify

Do you you know of a way I can have this.

I can see that they were able to have it in "Endpoints->Manage Endpoint Groups->Modify Endpoint Group" so I know its posible

But I cant replicate it in my custom task .
