  • 1.  HP uCMDB connector installation failure

    Hey guys, 

     

    I'm trying to deploy the uCMDB connector on the client site. We gather all required information:

     

    • user and password necessary to log into uCMDB database, 
    • uCMDB server name and port number,
    • two required .jar files (ucmdb-api.jar and api-client.jar).

     

    All the setup has been test: 

    • I was able to access the uCMDB console via server_name:portnumber,
    • from the web-console I've download the latest api-client.jar file,
    • client confirm that ucmdb-api.jar file is up-to-date, 
    • I was able to access the machine with given credentials,
    • client confirm that communication between servers is open and running.

     

    But still I'm not able to install the connector. The only error message that I'm receiving is as follow: 
    Invalid HP UCMDB Connector Information. 

    Is there any way that I can get more information from installer? When I'm closing the installation in the log file I can only see information that installer was disrupted by user. Any additional things that might be worth checking?

    Seems customer can't provide 

     

    • Data Update
    • Run Discovery and Integration

    rights for the user, anyone knows what user rights the user must have?
