    Hi All,

    We are upgrading the ITCA Scalability servers to 12.9 from 12.8 version with below commands. This commands will be executed across 2000 SS.

    All the commands will be run on top of 12.8 SS through external tool. Does ITCA 12.8 get detected while upgrading it through some external tool with below commands.

    Could you please clarify on this.

    CMD /c start /wait msiexec.exe /i "AgtDTS.msi" ADDLOCAL=ALL ALLUSERS=1 INSTALLELEVATED=1 REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS /l*v "%temp%\DSMSetupDTS.log" /qn

    CMD /c start /wait msiexec.exe /i "Server.msi" SERVER_MANAGER=%DM% ADDLOCAL=ALL ALLUSERS=1 INSTALLELEVATED=1 REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS /l*v "%temp%\DSMSetupServer.log" /qn

    ===============================================================

    Note: ->All our Domain managers are with 12.9 ITCA Version. Hence we are upgrading to 12.9 ITCA Version on SS. our customer is aware of that 12.9 is getting EOS by this October. However customer has requested for extended support from CA. Which CA agreed.
    ->Due to some dependencies we are not upgrading to 14.0SP2 ITCA version.

    Why are you not using the Software Delivery package?

    Hi Steve,

    Yes, We could have used SD option for upgrade to 12.9.

    However, It's our customer requirement that all our SS should deploy & Upgrade happen through External tool. Due to complexity of environment and to reduce the efforts of our Engineer.

    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Varun,

    I would like to understand why dragging and dropping the package to a SS or Group of SS is a lot of effort for the engineers!!

    Anyway, please follow this procedure https://comm.support.ca.com/kb/how-to-install-or-upgrade-an-agent-or-scalability-server-using-deploywrapper/kb000011224

    Why are you upgrading to 12.9 and not 14 sp2  12.9 is going out of support in a month
