Has anyone built a Active/passive or Active/Active AdvancedAuth infrastructure ,  planning to look on those lines and looking at any pointers on that.  What are the considerations to look out for DB replication. Anyone used Always-on configuration for MSSQL with advancedAuth ?

Active-Active is supported as of CA Advanced Authentication 9.0.

Active-Passive isn't specifically documented.  The key would be, aside from replication, the passive DB would need to be completely quiesced.
