Dear Experts,
We are configuring PAM Appliance with total two NICs and have below qestion.
1) Does each NIC need an IP ?
2) what about the Appliance IP, will that be different or shared with first NIC ?
So, We have an Appliance with 2 NICs,
We will have 3 IPs (1 for Appliance, 1 for 1st NIC, 1 for 2nd NIC) or
We will have 2 IPs (1 for Appliance which will share IP with 1st NIC, 1 for 2nd NIC).
Please help.
Thanks
Yogesh
Hi Yogesh, That is up to you. If you want to use the second NIC just for redundancy and not to connect to a separate network/subnet, you can team the two interfaces in a bond, see https://docops.ca.com/ca-privileged-access-manager/3-2-2/EN/implementing/configuring-your-server/configure-network-settings. In that case you use a single IP for the bond. If you don't use a bond, you use a different IP for each interface.
