  • 1.  Configuration of SSL for REST API's

    Hello Community,

     

    CA Service Desk Manager 17.1

    SQL Server 2016

     

    as mentioned on the Service Management document the below ports are used for REST web services, Would like to configure the SSL communication for REST web services.   

     

    Is their any defined Apache port for secure REST API communication?

    please share your success stories on configuring the SSL for rest API's or  knowledge articles to follow

     

    REST
    • Apache Tomcat: 8050
    • Apache Tomcat Shutdown: 8055

    Hello Venkat,

    you can use any free port number for Restful WS with SSL.

    The  is setup in the cccc.XML file ( same as with the other sdm Tomcat configurations). Check our knowledge base for the same. As a Starter i suggest you use port 8553.
