Do I need a model to in Spectrum to process event traps?

We have a set of three servers that send SNMP traps to Spectrum based on activity in their application.  Because of their network configuration, we can't currently discover these servers, but the traps are coming in as generic 0x10802 events despite having loaded the MIB and mapped the events.

I'm trying to verify that we need models in Spectrum before the incoming SNMP traps will be processed as an alarm.

    Thanks

Yes.  You need a model to process events on.  Minimum would be an event model.
