Test Data Manager

  • 1.  Not able to generate data using TDM portal

    Installed TDM tool and trying to Implement the capabilities for validation, when am trying to generate sample data It's throwing me an error like   "Could not perform the action because of an internal server problem. Refer to logs for more information. "

    Hi,

     

         To debug this issue I would start by reviewing the startup.log in this folder %programdata%\CA\CA Test Data Manager Portal\logs and look for errors for any component that may not have started correctly.

    HI Keith,

     

    I went through logs under TDM generator, last line of log says " Skipping re-initialization of Logback, because we are using logback xml configuration which is already initialized "

    log says "Encrypt One Block" after trying to publish

       I'm afraid i haven't received the log files and i don't see them in the CA Spam filter could you please resend them.

    The logback and encrypt one block messages can be safely ignored.

     

    You may want to start portal in debug and open a support ticket if Keith is unable to provide a solution. However, based on the error message, simply restarting portal may correct the problem, in which case it might not be reproducible after configuring debug as that requires a restart.

    Thanks Sean, I'll try to restart the services of TDM portal. Also, created ticket with CA as well.
