  • 1.  Facing Different types of issues in Internet explorer and google chrome as well while logging to CA Service Catalog and USS

    Hi All,

     

       Now a days we are facing various types of issues in internet explorer and recently from google chrome as well while using ca service catalog and USS (Unified self Service). can anyone help us to resolve all this

     

    Browser Issue:

    1.       For some users are getting Submit Button is Disabled or like color showing greyed
    2.       while taking Report an Issue -> Category is constantly loading 
    3.       Icons inside “Request for Service” does not appear properly and if it is appear then some users are not able to click on that

                              4  Some users are not able to see the Announcements

     

    System Configuration

     

          USS Server OS Version : windows server 2012 R2 Standard 64 bit

         Catalog Server OS Version : windows server 2012 R2 Standard 64 bit

          IE version : 11.96      

     

    End Users System Config

          windows 10

    IE version : 11.228

    IE Version : 11.96

    IE Version : 11.

     

     

     

     

    Announcements are not showingNot able to see any servicesrequest a service not showing anythingsubmit button showing greyed

    You didn't mention the software versions used and whether they're compatible with the browser versions that you reported. Is there any browser that doesn't exhibit these problems on the pages you tested ?

    Strangely enough - I'm not finding a help About for USS, maybe I overlooked some place obvious.

     

    For Catalog ->  It is in  the  About hyperlink at the right bottom corner of your Catalog screen, after you login to Catalog.

    About your questions:

     

    For some users are getting Submit Button is Disabled or like color showing greyed

     

    Answer: The following documents are related:

     

    The "SUBMIT" button on the Unified-Self Service (U - CA Knowledge 

    The "SUBMIT" button in the Unified-Self Service (U - CA Knowledge 

    cannot submit catalog request via USS UI with IE1 - CA Knowledge 

     

    while taking Report an Issue -> Category is constantly loading

     

    Answer: This might be related to an integration problem between Catalog and SDM. I would recommend you reproduce the issue and check the view.log from Catalog server to determine the cause

     

    Icons inside “Request for Service” does not appear properly and if it is appear then some users are not able to click on that

     

    Answer: From the screenshot I can see there is something at the bottom. Please scroll down to check if the form is below.

     

    Some users are not able to see the Announcements

     

    Answer: This might be related to the email set for the same user in SDM and USS. See:

     

    Announcements don't appear in Unified Self-Service - CA Knowledge
