DIRSCAN monitoring directory no growth

    Hi All,

We have an application which fills a directory with log files which are date and time stamped. Periodically the process that generates these logs hangs, stalls, goes zombie which ever you would like to call it, then the log files stop being created. What is the best setting in dirscan gui to indicate that log files have stopped being created? I have looked at the docops for the dirscan probe and its not clear and there are no examples . I am guessing it would be "Age of File, but the 'watch expect this value'  input is unclear . When I select 'newest file' and push "Fetch current values"  I get the number 11.  What is this telling me, and am I approaching this correctly?

    TIA

If unit is not selected, it represents for total seconds elapsed for the newest file.

If unit is selected, it returns elapsed time in the selected unit.
