I'm running r11.3 at the moment, if I was to upgrade to r11.3.6 would I need to change the agents on my servers, or would Autosys do it automatically

    Hi Matthew,

The local Agent will be upgraded automatically.

The remote Agents will need to be upgraded later.

    Thanks,

    Roya

PS: Please note the local Agent running on the Scheduler node will be upgraded Automatically from the WAAE Autosys installation DVD.

While for the Remote Agents upgrade you have 2 possible solution:

    A. Use the WAAE AutoSys installation DVD

    B. Use the "WA Agent" (Agent Only) DVD

    Thanks Roya,

what you are saying, is that, I can't use r11.3  remote agents that's already installed on my client machines,  if I add the client machines to a newer version of autosys ?

    thanks

    You are very welcome Matthew.

No that is Not what I am saying. You can use your 11.3 remote agents with your 11.3.6 Scheduler.

What I am saying is that the upgrade on the Scheduler node will upgrade the local Agent automatically.

But for the remote Agents you will have to upgrade them separately.

The upgrade of the remote Agents can be done at the same time or later according to your upgrade plans.

In the meanwhile, the old 11.3 Agents DO work with the new 11.3.6 Server.

    I hope this can help.

    Thanks,

    Roya
