You have a number of services that are not starting because the ports are already in use:

    9990

    51112

    51111

Maybe you have a phantom executable/process running that is still using these ports.

Use Task Manager to see if that is the case.

If you can ‘t find it then use the command: netstat -a -b -n inside an Administrator CMD-window. To figure out what is using these ports.

    Cheers,

    Danny

i can see there is Java.exe application using these ports with the common PID, but is IAM or anyother service from tool  using in background?

My guess there is still a defunct IAM process running and it keeps those ports occupied.

    Kill that java.exe process

Check with netstat that ports 9990, 51111 and 51112 are not in use.

    Clear IAM log file

Start IAM again, let us know any issues.

    Cheers,

    Danny

    Danny,

Had a webex with Venkat.  Had to reboot his machine.  IAM started with no errors.  Thank you for your previous posts.

ok, good, I didn't want to revert to the classic 'have you tried turning it off and on again' advice, but if it was my server and I was in the possibility to reboot it that would probably have been my first action :-)

I just upgraded to 10.4. IAM is not starting at all

I am using MySQL. Ran the Datasourceupdater and created all the tables succesfully. But IAM is not starting

    Hi Sankar,

I am also facing the same issue. I have installed DevTest 10.5 version and when I try to start the IAM service, Service is started but getting stopped immediately.
PFB the logs: PFA complete log file.
Could you please check and suggest what might be the root cause.

    Hi Rajasekhar,

Try running IAM as an admin once your ED is up and running. Also, check for port conflicts as well.

    Thanks.

    HI Rajesekhar
Please follow the steps below. Most likely, this should address the reported issue.

    1. Edit the file <LISA_HOME>\IdentityAccessManager\bin\standalone.conf.bat
    2. Change the entry set "JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Diam.version=1.2.1-SNAPSHOT" as set "JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Diam.version=1.2.1"
    3. Re-Start IAM and check

If the problem persists, please report a support ticket.

    regards

    set "JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Diam.version=1.2.1-SNAPSHOT"

    Thank you

    HI Rajesekhar
The chance of this problem occuring depends on whether you have upgraded to 10.5 from old release and in the old release you had configured LDAP store.

Look at defect DE428385.  The patch for iam-updater.jar fixed this problem for me.   You'll need a support ticket to get it.
