  • 1.  CA PAM Certificate Import Issue

    Hi Team,

We are new to CA PAM and we are facing issue with certificate import in latest version of PAM appliance. First we have generated CSR with name new_g**** and then we ordered Private SSL certificate from CA Authority. Later then we got the certificate in .p7b format. But while importing certificate using both X509 and PKCS7 option, it is prompting for .Pem format.

We manually changed the extension from .p7b to .pem format and then tried importing again. Yet it is not working and prompting for same .pem format. Please help here as to how do we actually import the certificate in PAM appliance step by step.

Hello, on a Windows host I would do the following:

Edit the certificate with "Crypto Shell Extensions”. Go to the Details tab. Click on "Copy to File…”. Click Next. Select "Base-64 encoded X.509 (.CER) format. Click Next. Enter filename (w/o extension). Use the same name as the name you specified when creating the CSR in PAM, assuming that's what you did, so it is matched with the correct private key in PAM. Click Next. Click Finish. Change the extension from .cer to .crt. This may not be necessary.
