  • 1.  Is TAF feature supports Oracle RAC?

    We are using 11.3.6 SP3 with Oracle RAC,If  I upgrade to SP7 will TAF feature work for Oracle RAC or not.

    if memory serves TAF was always an issue with CA and with Oracle as well. 

    I would not only check with CA i would talk to your DBAs and make sure they like how TAF works today. ;-)

    Hi,

    TAF works with Oracle RAC.  However, TAF requires specific drivers such as JDBC OCI or thick drivers.

    The applications will have to be able use that to use the failover.  Depending on the application, you will have to find out if the thick driver is supported or not.

    Oracle RAC using TAF mode is now supported with Workload Automation AE 11.3.6 sp7
